The USA Today lead headline online early Wednesday morning says "Florida city fights 9/11 Quran burning." The paper says when Terry Jones puts a match to the Muslim holy book, the Quran, in Gainesville, Fla., on Saturday, he won't have much of a crowd if city officials have anything to say about it.

It says Steve Jobs noted during last week's unveiling of freshly designed iPods that the iPod Touch has been called "an iPhone without the phone," and an "iPhone without a contract."

The paper says the American Academy of Pediatrics plans to call for all health workers to get flu vaccinations, saying unvaccinated doctors, nurses and other medical staffers pose a threat to patients.

It says Venus Williams arrived at this U.S. Open with a bum knee. She hadn't played a match in more than two months. She hadn't reached the semifinals at any Grand Slam tournament in more than a year.

And the most popular story on USA Today says Boise State took advantage of its opportunity in the national spotlight, and the voters in the USA TODAY coaches poll took notice.
