European shares fell Tuesday as concern increased about the state of the US economy.
The UK's FTSE 100 Index fell 78.89 points or 1.50 percent to 5155.95.
The German DAX Index dropped 75.47 points or 1.25 percent to 5935.44.
The French CAC 40 finished down 62.12 points or 1.74 percent at 3491.11.
