Economic Worries See European Markets Close Lower

Worries about the United States economy saw European shares end lower on Friday.

The UK's FTSE 100 Index finished down 16.01 points or 0.30 percent at 5195.28.

The German DAX Index fell 69.97 points or 1.15 percent to 6005.16.

The French CAC 40 lost 46.28 points or 1.29 percent to 3526.12.
