Dover - Officers participating in the statewide effort to Stop Aggressive Driving issued 242 citations for speeding violations from September 1st - 5th. This brings the number of speed citations for the campaign so far to 2,197. For the third year in a row, the important highway safety initiative, which officially launched on June 2nd, is focused on stopping speeding drivers and reducing speed related crashes in the state. The last weekend in August proved to be a deadly one, in which four people were killed in aggressive driving related crashes. WASHINGTON, DC – Continuing a commitment to lead by example, the White House today announced the release of Federal Agency Strategic Sustainability Performance Plans, which work to achieve the environmental, economic and energy goals called for in the Executive Order on Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy and Economic Performance (Executive Order 13514) signed by President Obama on October 5, 2009. This announcement marks the first time agencies have developed and submitted Sustainability Plans, now available at www.whitehouse.gov/ceq. Under the Executive Order, Federal agencies were required to submit their plans to the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
